Historic Arms is a strong proponent of community outreach programs.
Indeed, we participate in and support four separate community outreach programs:
It is Camp Trident’s mission to Inspire 13 to 16 year old boys by providing them with an exciting outdoor experience laced with challenging activities designed to enhance teamwork, self confidence, and perseverance. This is accomplished through intensive mentorship and constant exposure to positive role models in an austere, stressing and controlled environment.
Camp Trident is conducted at the Historic Arms facility in Cape Charles, Virginia from early morning until late at night for seven days and six nights with extensive physical activities which include hiking, swimming, inflatable boat work, running, obstacle courses, camping, knot tying, orienteering (map and compass), rock climbing, and shooting .22 cal rifles/shotgun. Safety is always paramount throughout all evolutions.
The overall concept is quite simple. Expose the participants to real life role models who have “Been there, Done that” while demonstrating that the path of life is a continuum of choices and the consequences of those decisions.
Freedom Hunters is a Military Outreach program dedicated to honoring those who protect our Freedoms. This program takes active duty and veterans on hunting, shooting and fishing adventures to relax and recoup. The therapeutic nature of these adventures help wounded servicemen as well as families of the fallen and deployed. Freedom Hunters adventures are offered to rehabilitate and to help transition our heroes to their new normal. We share our outdoor traditions and hunting heritage with our Nation’s Finest.
Historic Arms is proud to support this worthy cause and honor those who have given so much that we can continue to enjoy our way of life.
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Historic Arms is proud to help the Boy Scouts with some of their summer camps.

This group raises funds to support charitable activities that are coordinated through the Community Outreach of the FBI Norfolk Division.
Historic Arms was proud to support this organization by displaying vintage Thompson sub-machine guns at their most recent fund raising event — the 2012 film fest.
